ABOUT US

THE FOUNDER

VLV Capital was born out of the three-decade-long experience of Fabio Pasquali in the development of successful Franchise networks. He guided hundreds of companies in their national and international growth journeys, and he founded and led to public listing WM Capital S.p.A., an Italian company specialized in promoting and internationalizing Franchise networks. Moreover, he has been a part of the governance of more than 20 SMEs and innovative start-ups in the publishing, technology, and healthcare sectors. His passion for Healthcare culminated in 2021, when he founded Wealty SA, a Swiss start-up committed to developing devices for telemedicine.

A NEW APPROACH

VLV Capital was established to assist high-potential SMEs and start-ups in reaching their desired competitive positions, with a novel approach that leverage on the alignment of goals and shared entrepreneurial risk. 1993

SFIDA, a monthly Italian magazine dedicated to innovation and start-ups, is launched, featuring a dedicated franchising section.

1999

AZ Franchising is launched: an editorial platform focused on franchising. Over the course of 20 years, it plays a pivotal role in assisting franchising networks in finding new affiliates and takes part in successful initiatives within the European franchise landscape.

2000

Fabio Pasquali establishes WM Capital S.p.A., an Italian company specialising in management consulting services for franchise network development. During 20 years of research he guided hundreds of Franchise networks and developed the “5-lever approach”.

2008

Launch of AZ Franchising Academy and AZ Franchising TV.

2009

AZ Franchising Expo holds its inaugural edition, alongside the launch of the virtual fair AZFranchisingExpo.com. AZ Franchising receives the Business Superbrands award, as one of the most esteemed brands internationally.

2012

Launch of the "Dr. Fleming Service Pharmacy".

2013

WM Capital S.p.A. is listed on the AIM list of Borsa Italiana.

2017

WM Capital establishes a network of partners across 37 countries to support franchise networks. The company attains the Italian status of "innovative SME."

2021

Launch of Wealty SA, an innovative start-up committed to the creation of technological devices for the delivery of telemedicine services.

2022

Launch of the VLV Capital Observatory: a study center aimed at supporting the strategic business decisions of our network of SMEs, and identifying opportunities and threats arising from the competitive environment in which they operate.

2023

Launch of Franchising&Partnership, our new editorial platform. 30 years after our entry into the franchising communication sector, F&P is developed to address the needs of constantly evolving markets with a strong commitment to using new technologies.

VLV CASE STUDIES

COMPANY: Nextree S.r.l. is the Italian start-up that markets Erashop, an innovative e-commerce platform based on the Instant Commerce technology. It allows businesses to create a cost-effective showcase for their products, while ensuring high visibility on search engines.

SECTOR: SaaS, E-commerce.

PROJECT: Our services for Nextree included corporate valuation, business model revision, commercial network development, and creating a marketing and communication plan.

COMPANY: Navona Group is an Italian family-run enterprise active in the restaurant industry. Operating for over 30 years, it manages 14 hospitality entities in the heart of Renaissance and Baroque Rome, including 8 premium casual restaurants, 4 fine dining establishments, and 1 gelateria.

SECTOR: Food, Franchising.

PROJECT: We supported Navona Group in developing a new casual dining franchise format dedicated to 'Roman Pinsa'. Our services included feasibility analysis, market analysis and competitive positioning, operational development plan for franchising, marketing and communication plan, creation of operational manuals, design of contractual documentation, support in the search for new franchisees, business model study and financial planning.

COMPANY: H2O Design S.r.l. markets luxury floating homes that can be placed in exclusive locations, offering a unique experience in close contact with nature. The strengths of H2O Design lie in sustainability and innovation.

SECTOR: Houseboats, Hospitality, Luxury.

PROJECT: creating a new business model to promote the marketing of houseboats to investors. This involved identifying competitors, analyzing demand and supply with data collection from primary and secondary sources, mapping mooring areas, conducting geo-marketing analysis, assessing regulatory constraints, devising the Go-to-market strategy, conducting business development activities, Financial planning.
